PRE-CARE

To achieve the most beautifully natural brows for your face, you will get the absolute best results by prepping for the appointment and following the after care.  The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive, and non-irritated.

(HERE’S HOW TO GET YOUR SKIN READY FOR THE PROCEDURE) :

1 MONTH BEFORE:

  • No Botox or fillers near the brow area 4 weeks prior

  • No intense facials for 1-2 weeks prior (i.e. strong peels, treatments that will make the skin sensitive)

1 WEEK BEFORE:

  • No Tinting, Waxing or Electrolysis (for sensitive skin)

  • No Retinol/Retinoid products

  • No Tanning or intense sun exposure

MOST IMPORTANTLY: TO PREVENT BLEEDING AND POOR COLOR DEPOSiT

24 HOURS BEFORE

  • No Alcohol

  • No Caffeine (yes this means coffee!)

  • No Vitamin E or Fish Oil Supplements

  • No excessive sweating or working out

  • Restrict from taking any non-vital medication (especially blood-thinners like aspirin, advil, etc)

AFTER-CARE

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR THE FIRST 7-10 DAYS:

  • Apply aftercare ointment 3-4 times a day for normal/dry skin, 1-2 times daily for oily skin

  • Use a fresh pillow case, preferably satin for the first 7 days

  • No sweating or excessive exercise for 7-10 days

  • Avoid topical makeup & sunscreen on the brow area for 10 days

  • Avoid contact with pools, oceans & steam

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR THE FIRST MONTH:

  • No facials, botox, chemical peels or microdermabrasion treatments for 4 weeks

  • Do not use products that contain BHA/AHA’s (such as Glycolic, Lactic Acids)

  • Avoid major sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks

  • Avoid getting the treated area wet aside from rinsing morning & night with a mild soap (like a baby soap)

  • Avoid swimming, tanning, steam rooms, jacuzzi for a minimum of 2 weeks, ideally a full 4 weeks

Post treatment care makes 50% of the total treatment success.  Conscientiously adhere to the given advice because if not, you can risk losing up to 80% of the strokes.

HEALING PROCESS

WHAT TO EXPECT :

The first few days, the brows will darker then they will be healed.

The good news is, the intensified color and slight redness are part of the initial stages of healing and will only be from days 2-5. Don’t worry, just be patient. This is the initial healing phase and we ask that you just simply trust the process. After 7 days, the brows will fade around 20% and shrink around 10% to a more natural look. The sensation can be comparable to that of a slight sun burn and minimal peeling or flaking may take place. Refrain from picking at your brows as you may run the risk of removing pigment in the process.

Healing will vary with skin type, but you may experience color fading and loss of hair strokes. This is completely normal. This is why we have the touch-up session where we can assess your healing and fill in any missing strokes as well as give it a color boost. We can then recommend the best follow up timeline for future appointments.
